Rigging Practice WIP
This creature is called “King of Predators” and is the conceptual design of Davi
Blight. Kyle Havrilesko modeled him.
As practice, I have taken a model of the "King of Predators" and I will be from start to finish. I am using a simple bind rig with and IK FK system for the legs. I will be using set driven keys as well as custom attributes for the spines on the back so that I may move them all at once or individually. the images above are my weighting and skeleton plan that I will be following. I already have most of the basic skeleton completed and I am excited to see how this project turns out!
The Steel Mill Project! Learning the particle systems of Maya.
In my current class of visual effects, we have been learning all about dynamics and particles.
It was a fun time playing with the particles.
Areas I could have improved the speed and color of my melted metal.
It didn't feel like it flowed naturally.
My smoke could have used an expression to randomize the radius per particle, and also an expression the would have allowed the particles to decrease in size as the lifespan progressed.
This would have made a nice effect.
Hope you like my work!

Aaron Stoll, the intro!
My name Aaron Stoll, and I am currently a student enrolled at Full Sail University. I have less than a year left until graduation! I want to specialize in rigging but I also practice in other areas of the CG world. I have created this blog a way for me to start showing off what I can do as a CG artist as well as receive feed back and critiques from the CG Community.
